Quantam Liénard Ii Equation and Jacobi’s Last Multiplier

چکیده
In this survey the role of Jacobi’s last multiplier in mechanical systems with a position dependent mass is unveiled. In particular, we map the Liénard II equation ẍ + f(x)ẋ + g(x) = 0 to a position dependent mass system. The quantization of the Liénard II equation is then carried out using the point canonical transformation method together with the von Roos ordering technique. Finally we show how their eigenfunctions and eigenspectrum can be obtained in terms of associated Laguerre and exceptional Laguerre functions. By employing the exceptional Jacobi polynomials we construct three exactly solvable potentials giving rise to bound-state solutions of the Schrödinger equation.

Jacobi’s Last Multiplier and the Complete Symmetry Group of the Euler–Poinsot System
The symmetry approach to the determination of Jacobi’s last multiplier is inverted to provide a source of additional symmetries for the Euler–Poinsot system. These additional symmetries are nonlocal. They provide the symmetries for the representation of the complete symmetry group of the system. 1 Jacobi’s last multiplier The method of Jacobi’s last multiplier [12, 13, 14] (see also [15, pp. 32...
متن کاملUsing an old method of Jacobi to derive Lagrangians: a nonlinear dynamical system with variable coefficients
We present a method devised by Jacobi to derive Lagrangians of any second-order differential equation: it consists in finding a Jacobi Last Multiplier. We illustrate the easiness and the power of Jacobi’s method by applying it to the same equation studied by Musielak et al. with their own method [Musielak ZE, Roy D and Swift LD. Method to derive Lagrangian and Hamiltonian for a nonlinear dynami...
متن کاملPeriodic Solutions for a Liénard Equation with Two Deviating Arguments
In this work, we prove the existence and uniqueness of periodic solutions for a Liénard equation with two deviating arguments. Our main tools are the Mawhin’s continuation theorem and the Schwarz inequality. We obtain our results under weaker conditions than those in [14], as shown by an example in the last section of this artticle.
متن کاملQuantization of quadratic Liénard-type equations by preserving Noether symmetries
The classical quantization of a family of a quadratic Liénard-type equation (Liénard II equation) is achieved by a quantization scheme (M. C. Nucci. Theor. Math. Phys., 168:994– 1001, 2011) that preserves the Noether point symmetries of the underlying Lagrangian in order to construct the Schrödinger equation. This method straightforwardly yields the Schrödinger equation as given in (A. Ghose Ch...
متن کاملGenerating Functionals and Lagrangian PDEs
The main goal of this paper is to derive an alternative characterization of the multisymplectic form formula for classical field theories using the geometry of the space of boundary values. We review the concept of Type-I/II generating functionals defined on the space of boundary data of a Lagrangian field theory. On the Lagrangian side, we define an analogue of Jacobi’s solution to the Hamilto...
